Going to a frat-party, drinking herself stupid, and hooking up with strangers. We have a “winner.”

It is a rare thing to not contribute to your own victimization. Short of someone flying a plane into your sky-scrapper, it generally doesn’t happen. You are quite ignorant of the culture of violence if you don’t agree with this.

I don’t drink, I wear clothes that are a little loose fitting, and I cultivate a look that balances alert with unnoticeable. If I’ve got pants on, I’ve probably got a gun. I don’t train to fight to keep you safe. I don’t carry a trauma kit because I thought I am “safe.”

I get pissed every time I hear of (relatively) innocent people getting hurt. Then I get over it. Unless it is completely random, I will never be there when you need me. I did everything in my power to avoid where you’re at in the first place. If I am there, I’ll do the best I can. I’m no hero, though.

Don’t let things happen to you. You need to happen to things.

I dunno. I could not view the vid for 2 long as the whole 1980s-early 90s era headphones & mic set up, the severe square headed ‘cross’ library ‘tude with all the squawk, squawk, all sort of married to her mama’s PJ’s just made me too excited for all the Hawtness. I had to leave. Quickly. Cheers, ‘VJ’

@Yohami
“Octavia, I know. One response to fear is to submit and be docile.”

This is exactly right.

Stop watching movies, folks. You are unlikely to say much of anything when fighting for your life. IMO, That’s the original reason the battle cry was developed. To overcome the natural choking response to fear and breath while fighting.

As for why choking up developed? No idea.

On 2nd thought, I also want to sue that driver.

See I was crossing this bridge, which clearly said “Do NOT cross, No Pedestrian Access”, (it’s a very narrow & OLD bridge over a river) when I was hit by this car. I wanted to sue, but the county had given me ‘fair warning’. I ‘assumed the risk’ when I started to cross. But has I had an Extra ‘x’ chromosome instead of just one? I might have had a stronger case of obvious ‘diminished capacity’? Why does it always come down to that idiocy? Still wondering… ‘VJ’
